How to delete your MealVerve account and what happens to your data. This applies to the website and the Android app.
Delete it yourself (fastest)
- Sign in and open your Profile.
- Scroll to Your data. Optionally download a copy of your data first.
- Type DELETE and select Permanently delete my account.
Can’t sign in?
Email support@mealverve.com from the address registered to your account with the subject “Account deletion request”. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address. We complete verified requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your login identity, profile, preferences and any body or health details you entered.
- Your recipes (including public ones), uploaded photos, meal plans, grocery lists, favourites and follows.
- Chat messages you sent, notifications, push-notification registrations and notification settings.
- Your AI usage counters.
Deletion from live systems is immediate. Encrypted backups are overwritten on their normal rotation within 30 days.
What we keep, and why
- Invoices and payment records held by Stripe or Google Play, for as long as tax and accounting law requires (currently up to 7 years).
- Reports you made about content, with your identity removed, so moderation decisions stay auditable.
- Security logs for up to 90 days.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account cancels a web (Stripe) subscription immediately. A subscription bought in the Android app is billed by Google Play: cancel it in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions, because deleting your MealVerve account cannot stop Google from billing you.
